Dylan Baker, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Hamish Linklater, and Miriam Silverman have been cast in Erica Schmidt’s The Disappear Off-Broadway, with Schmidt also directing the world premiere. The project is moving toward a forthcoming Audible Original audio adaptation.
Audible Theater has announced the full lineup for the upcoming world premiere, scheduled to begin performances on January 8, 2026, with an official opening night set for January 15 at the Off-Broadway Minetta Lane Theatre. The limited engagement is planned to run through February 15, and the production will later be recorded for an Audible Original release in the following months.
The Disappear follows a power couple whose flawless lives derail, pulling their friends, extramarital affairs, and their daughter into a tangle of complications. The cast also includes Madeline Brewer and Anna Mirodin, alongside the previously mentioned staples of Baker, Harrison Jr., Linklater, and Silverman.
This marks Audible’s second world-premiere collaboration with Schmidt, following the 2023 debut of her play Lucy.
Creative team members include Brett J. Banakis on set design, Jennifer Moeller and Miriam Kelleher on costume design, Cha See on lighting, and Palmer Hefferan on sound. Merrick A. B. Williams will serve as production stage manager, with Mary Kate Baughman as assistant stage manager. Beacon Theatrical Services provides theatrical supervision, and ShowTown Theatricals handles general management. Casting is led by Caparelliotis Casting’s David Caparelliotis and Joe Gery.
